Practice Pilates
Precision-based, one-on-one Pilates and movement training at Kinective Health & Performance in Forest Hill.
Built around your body, your goals, and where you are right now.
Private Pilates
One-on-one sessions built around how your body actually moves. Before we get into any big movements, we look at how you walk, how you stand, and how you breathe, and the patterns your body has developed over time.
From there, we build together. One muscle at a time, layer by layer, we start with the smallest activations and build strength slowly and with purpose. The goal isn't to push your body harder. It's to help you understand it better, so the strength you build actually lasts.
Movement Training
Pilates is often where we start, but your sessions can go further. Depending on your needs and goals, your program may also include:
ELDOA β spinal decompression and joint health used by athletes and anyone managing back pain or postural strain
Myofascial techniques β to release deep tension and restore mobility
Functional strength β purposeful, real-world strength building
Restorative movement β for recovery, nervous system support, and longevity

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first session starts with an assessment. How you move, how you stand, how you breathe. From there, we design a program specific to your body. There's no jumping into exercises before we understand what you actually need.
-
In a group class, the instructor is guiding everyone at once. In a private session, every single exercise is chosen for your body, your goals, and your history. If something isn't working for you, we adjust in real time, not in the next class.
-
100% Private sessions are actually the best way to start so you learn proper alignment and technique from the beginning rather than developing habits that need to be corrected later.
-
Yes. Private Pilates and ELDOA are particularly effective for people dealing with lower back pain, disc issues, postural imbalances, and movement patterns developed after injury. We work with your body where it is, not where it should be.
-
ELDOA is a spinal decompression and joint health technique developed by French osteopath Guy Voyer. It's used widely by athletes and people managing chronic back pain or disc-related issues. It's offered as part of your program when it's the right fit but is never mandatory.
